Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting for a Commercial Technology (Data Protection) Associate in Bristol. The role focuses on advising technology clients on UK GDPR, privacy compliance and cross-border data transfers within a top UK law firm environment.

You will draft and negotiate data sharing agreements, support data breaches, and conduct DPIAs and risk assessments. Flexible hy brid working is offered alongside strong career progression and client exposure.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years PQE in data protection or privacy law.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Interest in technology and digital businesses.

Responsibilities

• Advise on UK GDPR, data protection and privacy compliance.
• Draft and negotiate data processing and data sharing agreements.
• Support clients with data breaches and incident response.
• Carry out DPIAs, compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Advise on international data transfers and cross-border projects.
• Develop privacy policies and governance frameworks.
• Deliver training and guidance to clients.
• Build strong client relationships and support business development.
