Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Data & Cyber team in Bristol on a permanent, hybrid basis. The role targets 1-8 years' PQE with a salary range of £60,000 to £85,000.

You will support partners on cyber, technology and data-related matters, handling breach response, insurance coverage issues, and complex disputes, while collaborating with insurers, brokers and clients. The position offers exposure to high-value cyber work and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • This role is suited to a motivated cyber/tech lawyer with 1-8 years' PQE (flexible for strong candidates)
  • Experience in cyber breach response, insurance coverage and/or technology/data related claims
  • Strong understanding of breach response insurance policies; experience of multi insurer claims is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with cyber incident response workflows and ability to advise calmly under pressure
  • Experience of technology/data related disputes, ADR and (ideally) litigation
  • Working knowledge of UK regulatory engagement, including ICO interaction
  • Strong drafting, analytical and commercial judgement skills
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with CISOs, in house counsel, brokers and technical providers
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple fast moving matters

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside technical cyber partners on breach response, remediation and communications
  • Coordinating pragmatic data protection advice with specialist data advisory colleagues
  • Senior Associates will supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team development

A leading national practice is seeking an Associate (1-4 PQE) or Senior Associate (4-8 PQE) to join its expanding Data & Cyber team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist group advising on cyber incidents, technology and data related claims, regulatory response and cyber/technology insurance coverage.

The Role

You'll support partners on a broad range of cyber, technology and data related matters, including:
