Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month contract to provide practical legal guidance on UK and EU data protection matters. The role covers GDPR compliance, DPAs, data transfers and privacy terms across AI-driven products and services.

You will work with product, engineering and commercial teams, drafting and negotiating privacy documents, monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring governance frameworks are robust.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent.
• Strong experience in data protection and privacy law.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and wider EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on UK and EU data protection and privacy matters.

• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
