Aviva plc is seeking a Data Portfolio Manager within Aviva Quantum's Data Engineering team to oversee portfolio planning, governance, reporting and financial management for strategic data initiatives. Data Portfolio Manager(12 Months FTC)

Salary: National circa £73,000

A bit about the job:

As a Portfolio Manager within Aviva Quantum's Data Engineering team, you'll play a key role in overseeing portfolio planning, governance, reporting and financial management to ensure successful delivery of strategic data initiatives. You'll work across teams and stakeholders to prioritise investment, manage resources and support informed decision-making.

The role requires strong oversight of risks, issues and dependencies, helping to ensure initiatives remain aligned with business objectives. You'll also drive continuous improvement in portfolio processes, standards and ways of working. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you'll help maximise the value of data and technology investments while delivering positive outcomes for our customers.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans including proficient in project management methodologies.
• Governance: Knowledge of governance principles and best practice, including experience in policy development and implementation.
• Reporting: Skill in communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience with resource allocation and capacity planning focusing on setting goals, objectives, and timelines.
• Ability to ensure alignment between projects and organizational strategy and prepare and present comprehensive reports based on organisational standards.

• Salary circa National circa £73,000 based (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
