Job summary

The Nottingham Building Society is building a brand-new Data Platform on Microsoft Fabric and Azure, enabling analytics, regulatory reporting and AI across the organisation. You’ll design scalable data architectures, develop ingestion pipelines and ensure data quality while collaborating with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders.

This is a rare chance to influence the direction of a modern data ecosystem from day one, using Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse concepts and Delta Lake to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Proficient with SQL, Python and PySpark.
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Power BI experience.
• Knowledge of data modelling, ELT/ETL and Delta Lake.
• Experience with DataOps, CI/CD and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate a scalable data platform using Fabric, Azure and Power BI.
• Build ingestion and transformation pipelines across internal systems and partners.
• Design Lakehouse, Delta Lake architectures for analytics and reporting.
• Deliver analytics-ready data and semantic models for self-service BI and regulatory reporting.
• Implement data quality, governance, monitoring and security controls.
