Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our enterprise data platform in a secure, scalable lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. You will enforce encryption, auditing, and fine-grained access controls across raw and curated zones while integrating legacy pipelines and models.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Azure cloud experience with Fabric ecosystem.
• Strong Spark/Databricks and SQL/Python skills including PySpark.
• Experience implementing security controls for sensitive data and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize lakehouse using Fabric OneLake and ADLS Gen2.
• Maintain raw and curated data zones with strict data protection.
• Develop and monitor large batch pipelines with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Build automated data workflows with Fabric Data Factory and Azure Data Factory.
• Integrate legacy pipelines and models without breaking analytics.
• Implement encryption, logging, audit trails and RBAC/ABAC controls.
• Structure data foundations to support future analytics and data science.
