Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain a modern data platform in a Lakehouse architecture. The role focuses on integrating pipelines and models within Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks, with strict encryption, logging, auditing, and access controls to protect identifiable data.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Azure data engineering experience.
• Experience designing lakehouse architectures with Fabric/OneLake and ADLS Gen2.
• Strong background in data security, encryption, logging, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize lakehouse using Fabric OneLake and ADLS Gen2.
• Maintain raw and curated data zones with strict data handling.
• Develop batch pipelines with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Build data workflows with Fabric Data Factory and Azure Data Factory.
• Integrate legacy pipelines and models without impacting analytics.
• Enforce encryption, logging, auditing, RBAC/ABAC controls.
• Prepare data foundations for future analytics and data science.
