A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to make a newly created Data Analyst hire into their rapidly growing centralised Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data and taking on a highly visible role, the hire will work closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. This role has a strong technical/engineering focus. Responsibilities include optimizing data pipeline operations, conducting quality checks, and anomaly detection using languages like SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab. The hire will act as the main interface between data sourcing and engineering, and be the point of contact for Traders.
The role also involves working on ad hoc projects with front office and tech teams, testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing a centralized data management platform.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst at a hedge fund, asset manager, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with programming languages for analyzing large datasets are required.
The position offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a significant bonus for top performers. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with the possibility of WFH 1-2 days per week once established.
