A high-performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data, this role offers high visibility within the team. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. This role has a technical/engineering focus, involving optimization of data pipeline operations and quality management, from raw data onboarding to data delivery to front office/investment teams.
You will use your technical skills in SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab to perform quality checks and identify anomalies through complex dataset analysis. You will serve as the main interface between data sourcing and data engineering and act as the point of contact for Traders.
The role also involves working on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing a centralized data management platform.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst at a hedge fund, asset manager, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with programming languages for analyzing large datasets in a financial services environment are required.
The position offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, a 5-day office week is expected, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days per week once established.
