Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Data Migration Lead to oversee end-to-end data migration projects across UK healthcare systems. The role focuses on planning, coordinating and delivering patient data transfers with strong governance and data integrity.

You will work with clinical systems teams, EPR suppliers and NHS partners to ensure timely, secure migrations and to support service transformation programmes. Prior experience in healthcare data migrations is essential.

Qualifications

• A recognised Project Management qualification or extensive project management experience (minimum five years).
• Technical qualification or experience in data management, SQL Server, or similar discipline.
• Experience managing complex data movement or transformation projects between systems.
• Strong understanding of PM methodologies and delivering across different approaches.
• Knowledge of healthcare data structures, SNOMED CT, and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end data migration projects with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Manage safe transfer and transformation of patient records between systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external organisations, and EPR suppliers.
• Coordinate data extraction, transformation, testing and migration activities with clear deadlines.
• Identify, manage and escalate risks with RAID logs and decision records.
• Support governance, data protection and patient safety requirements in migrations.
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to programme boards and senior stakeholders.
