Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Data Migration Lead to steer complex data migration projects across NHS and community healthcare services. You will plan, coordinate and deliver migrations, ensuring data integrity and patient safety within agreed timelines.

The role is predominantly remote with occasional UK travel and expenses covered. You will engage with clinical systems, technical teams and healthcare professionals to deliver high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• Recognised project management qualification or 5+ years’ experience in healthcare/large data migrations.
• Technical qualification or data management experience with SQL Server or similar.
• Proven track record delivering data migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies and cross-delivery approaches.
• Understanding of healthcare data standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects with detailed plans and timelines.
• Oversee safe transfer of patient records between EPR systems with data integrity.
• Build relationships with internal teams, external organisations and suppliers.
• Coordinate data extraction, transformation, testing and migration activities.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies; maintain RAID logs and records.
• Ensure regulatory, security and patient safety compliance with IG and clinical safety teams.
• Support data validation and testing with technical teams to ensure correct destination loads.
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to governance boards and stakeholders.
• Contribute to planning of new healthcare mobilisations and migration process improvements.
