Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Data Migration Lead to manage end-to-end data migration projects across clinical systems, ensuring safe, accurate transfer of patient information and timely delivery. The role is predominantly remote with occasional UK travel and expenses covered.

You will work closely with the Head of Clinical Systems to coordinate data extraction, validation and migration, while maintaining governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare or large data migrations.
• Technical qualification or at least two years’ experience in data management, SQL Server or similar.
• Experience managing complex data movement, migration or transformation between systems.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and delivery approaches.
• Knowledge of healthcare datasets, SNOMED CT, and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects with detailed plans, timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate safe transfer and transformation of patient records between EPR systems, ensuring data quality.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, external organisations and EPR suppliers.
• Coordinate data extraction, transformation, testing and migration activities.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies with RAID logs and documentation.
• Support governance, safety and compliance requirements for data migrations.
• Provide regular progress updates and presentations to programme boards.
