Job summary

La Fosse is seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to own the end-to-end migration of data from legacy systems into a cloud environment. You will work with engineering, architecture, testing, product and delivery teams to define the migration approach and execute data mapping, quality and migration activities.

The role requires strong SQL capability and experience with enterprise-scale data migration programmes, including cloud migrations (AWS).

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise-scale data migration programmes.
• Strong SQL capability and understanding of relational data models.
• Experience migrating data from legacy/on-premise systems into cloud environments.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT technologies and modern data pipelines.
• Experience working in highly regulated, government or secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end data migration strategy and delivery plan.
• Lead migration from legacy/on-premise systems into modern cloud platforms.
• Perform data discovery, profiling, mapping and transformation.
• Define migration rules, reconciliation processes and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee ETL/ELT processes and migration pipelines.
• Plan migrations, rehearsals, cutover and rollback approaches.
