Job summary
La Fosse is seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to own the end-to-end migration of data from legacy systems into a modern cloud environment. You will work with engineering, architecture, testing, product and delivery teams to define the approach and execute data migration with strong governance.
This hands-on leadership role requires deep data structures understanding, mapping, quality, and migration execution to ensure data integrity and successful cutover on a major government
Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise-scale data migration programmes.
- Strong SQL capability and relational data models understanding.
- Data mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data workflows.
- AWS or comparable cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data migration strategy and delivery plan.
- Lead migration from legacy/on-premise systems to cloud platforms.
- Oversee data discovery, profiling, mapping and transformation.
- Define migration rules, reconciliation and acceptance criteria.
- Manage data quality, cleansing and remediation activities.
- Design and oversee ETL/ELT processes and pipelines.
- Plan rehearsals, cutover and rollback approaches.
- Ensure data integrity throughout the migration.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, Test & Delivery teams.
- Identify risks, dependencies and technical constraints.
