Job summary
La Fosse is seeking an experienced AWS Engineer with a strong software engineering background for a 6-month contract in London. The role focuses on building and automating AWS solutions during a major cloud migration and disaster recovery programme, with production-grade code and infrastructure as code driving delivery.
The position is flexible hybrid (London) and requires hands-on AWS expertise, CI/CD capabilities, and experience with Terraform and AWS services to support secure, scalable cloud
Qualifications
- Hands-on AWS engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong software development background (C#, Python, Node.js or similar).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Cloud migration and disaster recovery experience.
- Familiar with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, security).
Responsibilities
- Build and automate AWS solutions through code.
- Develop production-quality code, scripts and automation.
- Support cloud migration and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Work with ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront and AWS security services.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions.
- Participate in code reviews and apply SDLC best practices.
- Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Demonstrate strong software engineering practices and maintainable code.
