Places for People is building a leading-edge Data Mesh platform in the UK. The Data Architect will drive strategic and enabling initiatives to ensure decentralised, interoperable data products aligned with enterprise standards.

The role focuses on designing robust data pipelines, governance, and scalable architecture while collaborating with Principal Data Platform/Engineers to shape the data roadmap and mentor engineers in data modelling and integration.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Solutions Architect or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Google's Big Query platform.
• Expertise in data platform architecture and ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

• Design the data platform architecture across current and future needs.
• Produce architectural documentation and diagrams.
• Guide domain squads in designing robust data products.
