Job summary

Merton Council is looking for a Data, Performance and Insight Apprentice to join our Children, Lifelong Learning and Families Department, developing analytical and technical skills while gaining a nationally recognised Level 4 apprenticeship.

You'll work alongside experienced analysts supporting data collection, analysis and reporting of performance information that helps shape services and improve outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• No degree required; starts as apprentice.
• Interest in data and analytics.
• Strong numerical and IT skills; detail oriented.
• Able to communicate clearly to different audiences.
• Keen to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Support production of reports, dashboards and management information.
• Analyse data and identify trends to support service improvement.
• Learn to use Excel and Power BI.
• Help ensure data quality and support statutory reporting requirements.
• Develop skills in performance management and data analysis.
