Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is inviting applications for a Data and Insights Apprentice on a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract. You will undertake a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience in Adult Social Care, collecting and presenting data to support better decision-making across the service.

The role involves producing performance reports, identifying trends and sharing insights to improve outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• Interest in data demonstrated via education, work experience, volunteering or personal projects.
• High numeracy with strong descriptive analysis; ability to identify trends.
• Good communication skills to explain complex data to non-technical people.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Willingness to learn new skills quickly.
• You must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship, attend learning sessions and apply skills in daily work.
• With support from the Performance Analyst Lead, respond to data requests from managers.
• Collect and report on internal, regional and national Adult Social Care performance measures.
• Produce regular reports and dashboards to aid decision making.
• Keep up to date with changes in Adult Social Care policy and publish a monthly bulletin.
