Orbis Investment Management Limited seeks an experienced Data Governance Lead to set the firm’s governance framework, aligning data, platform and AI initiatives with regulatory requirements and the investment process.

You will lead governance forums, establish clear data ownership, monitor data quality, and partner with architecture, security and platform teams to embed governance into design decisions.

Competenze

• Significant experience in data governance, data management or data risk roles with a track record of driving governance agendas.
• Experience establishing or operating a data governance framework in asset management with understanding of investment, client, operational, regulatory data.
• Practical experience defining and operating data ownership and stewardship models, including domain registers and critical data identification.
• Experience designing data quality programs and drafting governance policies and control frameworks.

Mansioni

• Set the direction for data governance at Orbis: own the Data Governance Framework and roadmap aligned with Data Strategy, AI Strategy, regulatory obligations and target architecture.
• Lead Data Governance Forum(s), set agendas, drive decisions, and report governance maturity and risk to IT Governance Group.
• Define and maintain data ownership, domains and data sponsors/owners, resolving ownership disputes and supporting SMEs across data quality and metadata.
• Draft, socialise and maintain data governance policies and controls proportional to risk and business value.
