Job summary

Vermelo RPO is seeking a Data Development & Enrichment Lead in the UK to drive enrichment data strategy across risk, pricing and lending decisions. You will lead analytics initiatives within the Analytics & Enrichment team, shaping data enrichment across our insurance brands.

This role blends hands-on analytics with leadership, stakeholder engagement and governance to deliver high‑quality data products, monitoring, and strategic improvements that unlock commercial value.

Qualifications

Proven experience in pricing, analytics, data science, or a related field within the UK personal lines insurance market.
Strong academic background in a numerical discipline (e.g. BSc Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science).
Experience identifying and solving complex business problems using data to deliver commercial benefit.
Advanced SQL skills with experience with Python and/or R.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for value creation: actively seek new ways to harvest value from enrichment data from internal and external sources.
Create enrichment evaluation pipelines: develop methodologies for evaluating new and existing strategies.
Partner with stakeholders: collaborate with teams to understand enrichment needs and work with third parties on market opportunities.
Champion analytics and enrichment across the business: provide analytical support to inform decision making.
Own and optimise enrichment scorecards for lending: refine models and processes for maximum effectiveness.
Solve complex business problems: apply creative approaches to unlock insights.
Design and enhance monitoring tools: lead the development and optimization of monitoring tools for enrichment strategies.
Champion data quality and governance: uphold data integrity, compliance, and governance across analytics initiatives.
