The role combines deep technical leadership with mentoring of Data Engineers and setting engineering standards.

You will partner with Underwriting, Pricing, Data Science and Technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions that enable advanced analytics and improved

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for scalable data solutions.
• Strong query optimisation and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Experience with Databricks and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data architecture, modelling and warehousing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Integrate high-volume data sources into enterprise analytics solutions.
• Own and optimise pricing data environment within cloud data platform.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting, Actuarial and Data Science teams.
• Establish governance, data lineage, security and regulatory controls.
