Job summary

Accenture PLC in Glasgow seeks a Data Engineering Manager to lead AI-powered data engineering programmes, owning end-to-end delivery from pipeline design to data products for AI, analytics, and business use. The role emphasizes AI-augmented practices, data quality, and scalable governance across cloud platforms.

You will mentor teams, establish CI/CD standards, and contribute to reusable data assets while collaborating across our Data & AI practice to drive innovation and client value.

Qualifications

• Design and delivery of cloud-scale data engineering solutions across Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, AWS or GCP.
• AI-assisted pipeline development with GenAI tooling to accelerate delivery and ensure output quality.
• Data quality, observability, schema drift detection and lineage with AI-driven controls.
• Data product thinking from consumption requirements through pipeline delivery and governance.
• ETL/ELT modernization and legacy-to-cloud migration at scale.
• CI/CD and engineering standards for data platforms with AI-assisted delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cloud-scale data engineering programmes and platform migrations.
• Drive AI-assisted pipeline development as standard practice.
• Design and implement data quality, lineage and observability capabilities.
• Own data product design and quality end-to-end from modelling to governance.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams in AI-augmented data engineering practices.
• Contribute to proposition development, accelerators and reusable data assets.
