Job summary

Tesco Insurance Money Services is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data flows and data acquisition for well-structured data marts. You will work with SAS/SQL and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a single version of the truth across the organisation.

The role reports to Data Engineering Leads and involves end-to-end data requests, governance, and ongoing improvements. Hybrid working with some onsite presence is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyse and interpret data with good investigative and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with non-technical colleagues.
• Proven MS Office skills, especially Excel, for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy before wider distribution.
• Experience building and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders.
• Demonstrates a Can-Do attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and reporting to stakeholders from multiple sources.
• Develop and modify SAS-based applications to meet requirements.
• Support end-to-end data requests and ensure data accuracy and governance.
• Maintain a data warehouse using SAS/SQL and ensure consistent definitions.
