Job summary

Tesco UK is hiring a core engineer for the data and intelligence layer that connects forecasting outputs to people and systems across the supply chain. The platform sits at the intersection of data engineering, applied ML, and developer infrastructure, and you’ll own problems end to end.

The work is varied: design a data API, improve retrieval in a RAG pipeline, and collaborate with infrastructure to productionise services.

Qualifications

• Proficient in TypeScript and Python for backend services.
• Experience with data-intensive backend systems in production.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud deployments.
• Exposure to LLM APIs or retrieval pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities
