Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build and improve a cloud data platform, enabling fundraising, marketing and other teams to access high-quality data.

You will work closely with the Senior Data Engineer on data pipelines, integrations and SQL, tackling technical challenges and contributing to evolving data capabilities with a hybrid work pattern.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills including data modelling and queries.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience integrating data from multiple systems using APIs/connectors.
• Focus on data quality, security and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise data pipelines for reliable data access.
• Develop and improve SQL data models, transformations and queries.
• Build and maintain integrations between CRM, fundraising, finance and other systems.
• Evolve the cloud data warehouse and automate processes.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and improve cost-efficiency.
• Document solutions and share knowledge with teams.
