Job summary

Amtis Professional is seeking a Data Engineer in Birmingham for a hybrid, permanent role. You will build and evolve the data platform to support reporting, analytics and AI use cases across the organisation.

The role covers ingestion, transformation and modelling, leveraging the Microsoft data stack (Fabric/Azure) and strong SQL skills. You’ll design pipelines, establish data feeds via APIs, transform data with ETL/ELT, and develop Power BI dashboards while ensuring data quality and security in

Qualifications

Strong data engineering background across the full data lifecycle.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services.

Responsibilities

Designing and building reliable data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources.
Working with APIs and other integration methods to maintain data feeds.
Developing ETL/ELT processes to model data for reporting and analytics.
Designing database structures, schemas and data models.
Ensuring data quality, integrity, security and performance across the data platform.
Working with SQL and the Microsoft data ecosystem to support dashboards and analytics.
Contributing to technical standards and best practices across the data function.
Assisting with advanced analytics and AI use cases.
