Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Data Specialist to support the delivery, enhancement and ongoing development of enterprise data and analytics solutions. You will work with project teams, business units and technical teams to analyse and transform data, develop reporting capabilities and support strategic data initiatives.

The role requires hands-on Azure data ecosystem expertise, including ADF, Synapse and Power BI, with strong SQL, Python and data modelling skills.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years' experience in Data Specialist/Data Engineering or related role.
• At least 2 years' experience in a lead capacity.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Synapse and Power BI.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehouses and data architectures.
• Strong data modelling and data governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Build ETL/ELT processes integrating data from multiple sources.
• Develop solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Power BI.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends and insights for decision making.
• Create dashboards and reports to support business operations.
• Optimise data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate in an Agile delivery environment.
