Version 1 is seeking a seasoned Data Specialist to drive data engineering initiatives and analytics development. You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to design pipelines, models, and dashboards using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6 years in data roles, with leadership experience and strong SQL/Python skills. Remote-friendly role with UK-based opportunities and GDPR governance focus.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years' experience in a Data Specialist/Engineering role.
• At least 2 years in a lead capacity.
• Hands-on Azure Data Factory experience required.
• Strong Azure Synapse and Power BI skills.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data manipulation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data warehousing.
• Data modelling expertise and governance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Build ETL/ELT processes integrating multiple source systems.
• Develop solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Power BI.
• Analyse complex data sets to identify trends and insights.
• Create dashboards and analytics to support decisions.
• Design and optimise data models and datasets.
• Use Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Support and scale existing data solutions; optimise performance.
• Collaborate in an Agile delivery environment.
