Job summary

Datatech Analytics in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Data & BI Engineer to own and deliver analytics platforms for customer operations and marketing teams. You will build production pipelines in Databricks, model data in Delta Lake, and develop Power BI reporting with trusted metrics and DAX measures.

You’ll work independently, mentor colleagues and drive improvements from requirements to production. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting standards,

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Strong PySpark and SQL skills.
• Experience delivering analytics for customer operations and/or marketing teams.
• Experience taking solutions into production.
• Mentoring colleagues and setting engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production pipelines using Databricks, Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop the lakehouse using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Create dimensional models, Power BI semantic models and advanced DAX measures.
• Work with senior stakeholders to define consistent KPIs and reporting requirements.
• Own data products end to end, including testing, deployment and operational support.
• Identify and deliver improvements to performance, reliability and ways of working.
• Mentor colleagues and help set engineering standards.
