Job summary

Ten Human Resources is seeking a Stock control Manager in Colchester to own stock control, inventory management and goods movement. You will drive stock accuracy, planning and operational performance across the business, reporting to the Operations Director.

The role requires a data-driven, organised professional with strong Excel skills and experience with MRP systems, plus the ability to collaborate across purchasing, production and logistics to optimise supply chain processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, supply chain, or materials planning.
• Strong manufacturing background is essential.
• Excellent understanding and practical experience of MRP systems.
• Data-driven with strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel and systems proficiency.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive problem solver who drives process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of stock control and inventory management.
• Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate stock records across multiple product lines.
• Utilise and optimise MRP systems to support production planning.
• Collaborate with purchasing, production, warehousing and logistics teams.
• Analyse stock movements and generate decision-support reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and reduce waste.
• Monitor KPIs and report to Operations Director.
• Lead stock audits, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
