Job summary

Loom Talent is seeking a Stock Control Manager to lead the stock control function at a busy distribution operation near Hounslow. You will drive stock accuracy, implement inventory processes and manage a dedicated team to deliver excellent service.

You will work closely with Warehouse and operations teams, using data to identify improvements, develop procedures and report on performance, while mentoring staff and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment with team leadership.
• Experience in Stock Control or Inventory Management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Stock Control function to ensure stock accuracy and timely reporting.
• Produce and analyse stock reports, identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain inventory control procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse and operational teams to drive efficiency.
• Coach and develop the Stock Control team; build relationships with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to warehouse procedures, quality standards and Health & Safety.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on experience) + Benefits

Loom Talent is delighted to be supporting a leading logistics and supply chain business in the search for an experienced Stock Control Manager to join their operation near Hounslow

This is an excellent opportunity for an inventory professional with leadership experience to take ownership of stock accuracy, inventory processes and warehouse administration within a fast-paced distribution environment.

The Opportunity

As Stock Control Manager, you’ll lead the inventory function, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient warehouse processes and excellent customer service.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and operational teams, you’ll use data and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement while leading and developing a high-performing Stock Control team.

Key Responsibilities of a Stock Control Manager:

• Manage stock accuracy and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Produce and analyse stock reports, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
• Work closely with operational teams to support efficient warehouse performance.
• Lead, coach and develop the Stock Control team.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure warehouse procedures, quality standards and Health & Safety requirements are consistently followed.
• Complete inventory reporting and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse operation.

Requirements

• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment who enjoys leading teams and improving processes.
• Experience in Stock Control or Inventory Management.
• Previous people management experience.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
