Job summary

Duncan Lewis Solicitors seeks a Data Claims Caseworker Paralegal to join its Data Claims Department in Manchester. You will manage the New Client Diary, case set-up/onboarding, and provide assistant casework support to other lawyers while obtaining evidence from new clients ahead of case opening.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of Caseworker Paralegal experience, an interest in UK GDPR and data privacy rights, and strong organisational and drafting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year of Caseworker Paralegal experience within a law firm or litigation environment.
• Experience with Data Claims work is preferable.
• Interest in UK GDPR 2018, Data Protection Act 2018, privacy rights and misuse of private information is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Departmental Director.
• Liaising with new and existing clients to take initial instructions and obtain evidence.
• Creating files and preparing onboarding documentation for clients.
• Assisting with casework support from other lawyers in the department.
• Managing time recording and file administration effectively.
