Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Engineering Shift Lead for a data centre in Slough. The role focuses on safe, reliable operation of critical MEP systems, supervision of the engineering shift team, and coordination with client and vendors.

You will manage daily operations, risk assessments, and reporting while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and contractual SLAs. This role requires strong leadership and deep technical knowledge of critical facility infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Critical Environments (Bank HQs/Data Centres).
• Authorised Person for HV/LV work per site SOPs.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site engineering team and MEP responsibilities.
• Operate building systems including HV/LV switching; provide concise technical reports.
• Plan and support Specialist Vendor works with Change Management approvals.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs and safety policies; conduct handovers and risk reporting.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and assist in procurement of M&E components.
• Lead engineering QA processes and drive continuous improvement in safe systems.
