Job summary

CBRE is seeking a DC Mechanical Bias Shift Technician in London to operate and maintain critical data centre mechanical systems. You will work within shift teams, ensuring reliability and adherence to SOPs, with a focus on proactive maintenance and timely response to issues.

The role requires a Mechanical Authorised Person and 5+ years in data centres or similar environments, plus strong IT/reporting skills. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting CBRE clients in London.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Data Centre or Critical Environment operations.
• Mechanical Authorised Person designation.
• HNC/HND in relevant field or mechanical apprenticeship.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of staff.
• Proactive attitude with commitment to operational excellence.
• Good IT and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data centre mechanical systems to ensure reliability.
• Coordinate with Data Centre Shift Leader and Sub Contractors per SOPs.
• Prepare concise technical reports and change requests.
• Attend team and client meetings as required.
• Support QHSE compliance and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with supply chain for M&E components.
• Participate in training and EOP drills.
