Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer on a major data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. The role focuses on delivering HVAC, pipework and building services on a large construction project.

The successful candidate will support mechanical construction packages, review drawings and specs, manage RFIs, and coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical construction.
• Experience with HVAC, mechanical pipework and related building services.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, specs and site engineering procedures.
• Experience coordinating mechanical subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of mechanical construction packages across the project.
• Coordinate site activities relating to HVAC, pipework and mechanical services.
• Review drawings, specifications and installation requirements.
• Raise and manage RFIs to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Carry out inspections and ensure installations meet project specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and installation quality.
• Manage snagging, defects and close-out activities.
• Identify and track variations arising during construction.
• Coordinate with site management and commissioning teams.
• Maintain accurate engineering and site delivery documentation.
