Job summary

CDM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a major data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. The role focuses on delivering and coordinating mechanical works on-site, working with subcontractors, the design team and project management to ensure safety, schedule and quality targets are met.

• Good understanding of drawings, specs and installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the delivery of mechanical works across the project
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submittals
• Coordinate daily mechanical activities with subcontractors and site teams
• Monitor progress and provide updates to the project team
• Support site QA/QC processes, inspections and installation checks
• Liaise with the design team and manage RFIs and construction information
• Attend site and coordination meetings
• Maintain project documentation and technical records
• Assist with resolving technical and coordination issues
• Support snagging and progress claim tracking
