Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical building services on a major data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. The role involves coordinating electrical subcontractors, reviewing drawings, and managing RFIs on site.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering and at least 3 years of electrical construction experience, with strong communication skills and a focus on quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical construction.
• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience delivering electrical installations on major construction projects.
• Good knowledge of power distribution, lighting and associated electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and manage technical construction information.
• Strong communication and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Data centre experience advantageous, although candidates from other technically complex construction environments will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of electrical building services packages across the project.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors and associated installation activities.
• Oversee site works relating to power distribution, lighting and associated electrical services.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Raise and manage RFIs to resolve technical queries.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor installation quality.
• Identify, record and track construction variations.
• Manage snagging and coordinate close-out of outstanding works.
• Support quality inspections, testing and handover documentation.
• Work closely with senior engineers, construction managers and other project disciplines.
