Job summary

3D Personnel LTD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a major data centre construction project in Blyth. You will join the project delivery team to support mechanical construction packages, coordinate HVAC and pipework activities, and ensure installations meet project specifications on site.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' experience with mechanical construction, ideally including data centre or complex facilities projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical construction.
• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience with HVAC and pipework and building services systems.
• Strong ability to read drawings, specifications and site procedures.
• Experience coordinating mechanical subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of mechanical construction packages across the project.
• Coordinate site activities relating to HVAC, pipework and mechanical services.
• Review drawings, technical specifications and installation requirements.
• Raise and manage RFIs to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Carry out inspections and ensure mechanical installations meet project specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and installation quality.
• Manage snagging, defects and close-out activities.
• Identify and track variations during construction.
• Coordinate with site management and other engineering disciplines.
• Maintain accurate engineering and site delivery documentation.
