Job summary

Jones Engineering seeks a Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mechanical construction on major Data Centre projects in London. You will own the mechanical scope from mobilisation through commissioning and handover, coordinating with Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teams.

The role requires strong data centre cooling system knowledge, site leadership, and hands-on delivery of complex mechanical packages on fast-paced sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in mechanical construction management in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of data centre mechanical and cooling systems.
• Experience delivering chilled water and glycol cooling systems.
• Experience with CRAHs, AHUs, pumps, pipework and associated mechanical plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction delivery and supervise subcontractors and vendors.
• Coordinate with Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teams to avoid clashes.
• Review drawings, BIM models and specs for constructability and sequencing.
• Ensure safety, quality and progress meet project milestones.
• Drive right-first-time installation and progressive snag-free completion.
