Job summary

Jones Engineering Group is recruiting a Logistics Manager to lead on-site planning and management for a large-scale data centre project in London. The role requires close coordination with CSA, MEP and commissioning teams to keep the programme on track and ensure safe, efficient movement of personnel, materials and equipment across complex sites.

The successful candidate will take a proactive approach to logistics, develop plans, manage deliveries and collaborate with multiple subcontractors.

Qualifications

• SMSTS preferred.
• Appropriate CSCS card.
• Previous mission-critical/data centre training or experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Site Logistics Plan and Traffic Management Plan.
• Take ownership of the day-to-day site logistics operation.
• Coordinate major plant and equipment deliveries and lifting operations.
• Produce and maintain 2–6 week logistics look-ahead schedules aligned with the construction programme.
• Manage logistics operatives, traffic marshals and subcontractors.
• Ensure fire routes, emergency access and critical working areas remain clear.
• Attend logistics and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Support phased completion and handover of areas from construction into commissioning.
