Job summary

iCobus Limited in Manchester is seeking a Data Centre Supervisor to oversee MAC activities, BAU operations, and cabling infrastructure in a high-availability, 24/7 data centre.

You will manage shift coverage, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, monitor SLA performance, and support incident response in a live environment.

The role requires proven supervisory experience in data centre MAC operations and hands-on copper/fibre cabling installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a data centre MAC operational environment.
• Hands-on copper and fibre cabling installation, testing and fault diagnosis.
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, ticketing systems and service workflows.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and shift coverage in 24/7 sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise MAC and BAU cabling activities, including copper/fibre installations, testing, and decommissioning.
• Manage shift coverage, daily workload allocation, and engineering resource scheduling.
• Monitor SLA performance, ensure site safety and quality, and escalate operational risks.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
• Assist with incident management, first-line technical support, fault finding, and asset tracking.
