Job summary

A leading independent technology partner in the UK is looking for a Data Centre Team Leader. This role involves managing a team responsible for the cabling infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations within the Data Centre. Ideal candidates will have relevant banking IT experience and expertise in structured cabling. The position offers opportunities for team leadership and requires strong operational and communication skills. You will collaborate with various teams to enhance service delivery and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Centre operations.
• Strong knowledge of cabling standards (FTP, UTP, Optical Fibre).
• Excellent incident management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Data Centre cabling infrastructure.
• Coordinate team of engineers on 24/7 shifts.
• Optimize operational systems and improve service deliverables.

Skills

Relevant experience in banking IT environment

Experience in Data Centre MAC environment

Knowledge of structured cabling installation

Expert understanding of change management processes

Leadership and supervisory skills

Ability to mentor and train
