Job summary

Phoenix Resourcing Services is recruiting two Electrical Shift Engineers for Surrey. The roles offer a base salary up to £47,000 with a 10% bonus, shift allowance, and overtime.

You will join a major data centre owner-operator, supporting critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure in a 24/7 facility. Ideal candidates hold a City & Guilds electrical qualification or equivalent, with experience in electrical distribution, UPS, generators, and BMS controls.

Qualifications

• Electrical power distribution, switchgear and transformers.
• UPS systems, standby generators and emergency power infrastructure.
• Electrical safety practices and permit-to-work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive support across critical building services.
• Monitor and maintain electrical distribution systems and related infrastructure.
• Support safe operation of UPS, generators, switchgear and LV/HV distribution.
• Identify faults, investigate equipment issues and support root-cause analysis.
• Work with BMS and controls to monitor performance and ensure resilience.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and customer-focused service.
