Job summary

Eligo Recruitment seeks an Electrical Technical Director to join our London office, leading the development, design and delivery of complex engineering projects while supporting business growth and strategy.

You will drive technical excellence, lead talented teams, and mentor engineers, ensuring projects meet UK regulations and client expectations while fostering long-term relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
• Extensive experience in building services design across sectors
• Strong leadership and project management capability
• Good knowledge of UK regulations, standards and H&S legislation
• Commercial awareness including contracts, invoicing and cost control
• Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
• Experience in consulting or construction environments preferred
• International project experience desirable

The Role

You’ll take a senior leadership role across projects and the wider business—driving technical excellence, managing teams, and ensuring successful project delivery from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading engineering design, coordination, and project delivery
• Managing project performance, including fees, profitability, and risk
• Working closely with clients to define requirements and build long-term relationships
• Overseeing electrical systems design, compliance with UK standards, and QA/QC processes
• Monitoring construction, installation, and operational testing
• Supporting tendering and procurement of MEP contractors and equipment

• Contributing to business development and sector growth

About You
