Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC (QTS) is seeking a Design Manager for Data Centre Development to lead design execution across campus workstreams. You will coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and operations to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction or design management, proficiency with BIM tools, and strong cross-functional collaboration. Travel up to 25% may be required; we offer a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in commercial construction, design management, or project delivery.
• Experience coordinating design/ Construction from conceptual to procurement and closeout.
• Knowledge of Lump Sum, CM at Risk, and Design Build delivery methods.
• Experience coordinating with external consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for updates, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience with design/project tools such as Bluebeam, Revit, BIM 360, or ACC.

Responsibilities

• Support design management for campus or project workstreams, maintaining budgets and schedules.
• Prepare project design updates and escalation summaries for leadership decisions.
• Coordinate design input for entitlement, permitting, and site development.
• Draft scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Support procurement and cost-estimation activities for design and construction.
• Coordinate equipment procurement, delivery tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure design submittals and decisions are documented and tracked.
• Review change orders and provide analyses for senior review.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Product teams on solutions within schedule/budget.
• Participate in OAC and stakeholder meetings as the design/project representative.
