Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Centre Technician in the Thames Valley region to join a diverse team building the world's cloud infrastructure. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, troubleshoot on operating systems, and document SOPs for junior staff.

You will understand equipment and make independent decisions while taking direction when needed. Role requires 24/7 shift coverage, possible 12 hour shifts, rotating schedules, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in networking.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service-Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
• Respond to off hour emergency calls per on call rotation for any one of the region’s sites
• Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies.
• Must be commutable to the Thames Valley Region.
