Job summary

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop design and solution requirements for multiple bids. You will produce bid plans, coordinate internal teams and suppliers, and ensure accurate cost estimates with clear risks and opportunities.

The role involves maintaining the bid pipeline, submitting compelling responses, and acting as SME to project teams. Experience in M&E and data centre sectors, plus strong IT skills with MS Office, are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a M&E environment or data centre setting is essential.
• Knowledge of data centre services and related industries.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Financial awareness of profit, loss and costing.
• Good time management and prioritisation with a results focus.
• Self-driven and able to work independently or in a team.
• Relevant sector qualifications and certifications.
• SMSTS & CSCS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce design and solution requirements for multiple bid proposals.
• Develop bid plans and coordinate internal teams and supply chain partners.
• Ensure accurate cost estimates and present risks and opportunities.
• Maintain and update the sales pipeline and bid submissions.
• Provide SME support to project teams and facilitate knowledge transfer.
