Job summary

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead day-to-day electrical operations in data centre environments. You will ensure installations, maintenance, and operation meet industry standards and client requirements.

You will supervise technicians and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients for timely delivery. Strong leadership and drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in electrical engineering.
• Experience supervising electrical operations in data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, and BMS.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical technicians and subcontractors.
• Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance work comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of LV and HV distribution, UPS, generators, and switchgear.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients for smooth operations and timely delivery.
• Maintain records of electrical systems, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
• Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance during handovers.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and company procedures.
• Represent the business with clients and third parties while maintaining confidentiality.
