Job summary

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to oversee construction activities across data centre projects in the UK. The role ensures on-time delivery, within budget, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Strong leadership and experience with high-voltage systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors, permits, risk mitigation, resource allocation and site logistics.
• Experience developing and implementing detailed construction plans for electrical systems, including high-voltage distribution, ICT infrastructure, fibre optics and cabling.
• Experience in overseeing day-to-day electrical installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards and electrical codes/regulations.
• Deep understanding of high-voltage electrical systems, ICT architecture, fibre-optic networks, and electrical compliance standards.
• Expertise in commissioning and testing of electrical systems.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
