Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) invites applications for a Graduate Electrical & Mechanical Sales Engineer to join our team in the UK. The role combines technical engineering knowledge with customer-focused commercial support to develop solutions, prepare quotations and proposals, and build lasting client relationships.

Duties include preparing technical and commercial proposals, assisting with customer enquiries, and supporting handovers from sales to delivery teams.

We are seeking a Graduate Electrical & Mechanical Sales Engineer to join our team. This role supports DPI’s sales and business development activities by combining technical engineering knowledge with customer-focused commercial support. The role assists in developing technical solutions, preparing quotations and proposals, building customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
• Assist with customer enquiries and solution development.
• Prepare quotations, presentations and tender responses.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Conduct market research and identify sales opportunities.
• Support project handovers from sales to delivery teams.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits.
• Represent the business professionally and uphold the Group’s core values and behaviours in dealings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain business and client confidentiality and comply with applicable data protection legislation, information security standards, and Company and Group policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Interest in both engineering and sales.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
